Step-by-step instructions to install GOLDENEDGE AI on your MetaTrader platform
Prerequisites
Before installing GOLDENEDGE AI, ensure you have:
- MetaTrader 5 platform installed on your computer
- Valid license key (provided after purchase)
- Administrator rights on your computer (for installation)
- Stable internet connection
- At least 50MB free disk space
Step 1: Download the EA File
- Check your email for the download link after purchase
- Download the GOLDENEDGE_AI.ex5 (MT5) file
- Save the file to an easily accessible location (e.g., Desktop or Downloads folder)
Step 2: Locate MetaTrader Data Folder
You need to find your MetaTrader 5 data folder:
- Open MetaTrader 5
- Go to File → Open Data Folder
- Navigate to MQL5 → Experts folder
Step 3: Copy EA File
- Copy the downloaded GOLDENEDGE_AI.ex5 file
- Paste it into the Experts folder you located in Step 2
- Ensure the file is directly in the Experts folder (not in a subfolder)
Step 4: Restart MetaTrader
- Close MetaTrader completely
- Reopen MetaTrader
- The EA should now appear in your Navigator panel under "Expert Advisors"
Step 5: Enable AutoTrading
- In MetaTrader, click the "AutoTrading" button in the toolbar (or press Ctrl+E)
- The button should turn green, indicating AutoTrading is enabled
- If the button is gray, click it to enable AutoTrading
Important: AutoTrading must be enabled for the EA to execute trades automatically.
Step 6: Attach EA to Chart
- Open a chart for XAUUSD (Gold) on M15 timeframe
- In the Navigator panel, find "GOLDENEDGE AI" under Expert Advisors
- Drag and drop the EA onto the XAUUSD chart
- The EA settings window will appear
Step 7: Configure Settings
In the EA settings window:
- Enter your license key in the "License Key" field
- Review and adjust risk settings (default: 2% risk per trade)
- Enable "Allow live trading" checkbox
- Click "OK" to save settings

Step 8: Verify Installation
Check that the EA is working correctly:
- Look for the EA icon in the top-right corner of your chart
- Check the "Experts" tab in the Toolbox for any error messages
- Verify that the EA shows "Initialized" status
- Test on a demo account first before using on a live account
Troubleshooting
EA Not Appearing in Navigator
- Ensure the file is in the correct Experts folder
- Restart MetaTrader 5
- Check file extension (.ex5 for MT5)
EA Not Trading
- Verify AutoTrading is enabled (green button)
- Check that you're on XAUUSD chart with M15 timeframe
- Ensure "Allow live trading" is checked in EA settings
- Check the Experts tab for error messages
- Verify your license key is correct
License Key Errors
- Double-check the license key for typos
- Ensure no extra spaces before or after the key
- Contact support if the key is invalid
VPS Installation (Recommended)
For 24/7 trading, we recommend using a VPS (Virtual Private Server):
- Choose a VPS provider close to your broker's server location
- Install MetaTrader on the VPS
- Follow the same installation steps above on the VPS
- Keep your VPS running 24/7 for continuous trading
